Danish-Japanese Digital Media & Journalism WORKSHOP

JM is going to hold the Danish- Japanese Digital Media & Journalism Workshop, an international dialogue event among Danish journalists, broadcasters, researchers and members of Hayashi lab, Mizukoshi lab, iii, the University of Tokyo.
The following is a tentative schedule on April 20th. Unfortunately, this workshop is not going to be an open event for general people, because we want to make it an intensive one. You will be able to read its report on this website in near future.

13:30: We meet at the Akamon Gate, Hongo campus, the University of Tokyo.

13:50: Welcome, professor Shin Mizukoshi.

14:00: “Culture and literacy of digital media”, presentation by professor Shin Mizukoshi together with the “Media Exprimo” members.

15:00: Break

15:15: “The Critical Situation of Japan’s Journalism and the Future of Public
Sphere”, presentation by professor Kaori Hayashi together with her doctoral students.

16:15: Break

16:30: News in present tense, presentation by professor Lars Kabel about recent developments in Danish news journalism.

17:00: A few slides about the current situation of digital media in Denmark, presented by Asger Rojle Christensen with everybody in the Danish delegation hopefully joining in.

17:15: Break

17:30: Digitalization of Danish Cultural Heritage, a short presentation by Anders Høeg Nissen, Danish Broadcasting Corporation

17:45: ”SummerSummarum”, mobile involvement of children in Danish TV’s summer holiday programs, a short presentation by Frederik Michael Hansen, Danish Broadcasting Corporation.

18:00: Closing

Evening: Common dinner at “Takichi” (Japanese&Italian foods) round the corner from the University of Tokyo.
