The Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo (UT) and the Department of Communication at Seoul National University (SNU) annually co-sponsor a symposium on media and communication. This year’s symposium entitled “Mapping the Spaces of Media Culture in Asia: Information, Communication and Politics” will be held at the University of Tokyo on October 29-30, 2009. This year’s symposium is proud to welcome the participation of City University of Hong Kong and The Australian National University. The aim of this symposium is to promote media and communication studies in the Asia and Pacific region.
